There's no place like home

Michigan Governor Whitmer’s “stay at home” order finally compelled me to sit at the computer and write. Though these are really scary times, I keep feeling hopeful because of my garden and the brightening landscape. Seeds have been sown and darling seedlings are reaching to the light, reassuring me that there will be flowers at the end of all this craziness. Winter days planning, tucking in teeny seeds and navigating around my new worktable (Old Red) loaded with trays of future blooms fills me with gratitude.

Just like season one of Cheerful Nature, I plan to give away bouquets in the community to anyone who needs a pick me up. At the top of my list are the older adults and hospital workers in our community and the teens who are missing some key school milestones. Hang in there. Hugs to our community and a big thank you to the medical personnel. Now, let’s all stay home and do our part to ebb this pandemic… together.
